Manchester City's Manuel Pellegrini has refused to pushed into accepting that the Etihad side is under intense pressure following their 5-1 FA Cup nightmare.
Pellegrini says that their FA Cup result against Chelsea does not portray the big picture about their potential and ambitions.

“No, I don't think one game is linked with the other one,” said Pellegrini. “Unfortunately for us, we have to make a difficult decision against Chelsea, but it was the only clear decision we had to make in this moment.

Pellegrini explained that they were limited on fit players and had to make a difficult decision but they are working on an improvement.

“If we had a completely fit squad, then a lot more experienced players could have played that game, but that was not the case.

“We had just 13 players, so I think that it is our intention to continue in all of the competitions, but we couldn't do that, we had to take a chance, but this is absolutely different.

“We are now thinking of trying to improve, because in the last two years we have arrived in the last 16 for the first time. Now we have won the group, in the group stage, and we will try to continue, knowing that we have a difficult game here tomorrow.” said Pellegrini.
